65 Years to 90 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria were (1) age 65 years or older; (2) COPD diagnosis confirmed by post-bronchodilatory FEV1 of less than 80% predicted and FEV1/FVC of less than 70%; (3) Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) score = 5 and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale-17 version (HAMD-17) score between 7 and 17 (mild depression); (4) not participating in other psychologic studies; (5) no cognitive impairment, defined by a score of 27 or higher on the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were (1) being in the acute episode of COPD; (2) having poor understanding or being unable to complete psychological intervention; (3) having nervous system diseases, such as Parkinson's, epilepsy, and migraine; (4) having cerebrovascular diseases; (5) having a personality disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and mental retardation
