Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Participants must be a minimum of 18 years of age. 2. They should have no formal prior experience in mindfulness and CBT. 3. There should be no recorded history of mental health issues, and participants must not be currently prescribed any psychiatric medications. 4. Participants must score a minimum of 10 points or higher on the PHQ-9 or GAD-7 scales, indicating at least moderate levels of distress. 5. Participants should not be engaged in psychological counseling or intervention programs.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Individuals who have engaged in formal mindfulness interventions for two years are ineligible. 2. Participants who pose a risk of suicide are excluded from participation 3. Serious physical or mental illness, history of alcohol addiction or substance abuse.
