Interventions

Myopia group:Compound Tropicamide Eye Drops (0.5% phenylephrine hydrochloride, 0.5% tropicamide) (Shenyang Xingqi) were used for a total of 4 times at 5-min intervals
Hyperopia group:Compound Tropicamide Eye Drops (0.5% phenylephrine hydrochloride, 0.5% tropicamide) (Shenyang Xingqi) were used for a total of 4 times at 5-min intervals

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Intermittent exotropia with both eyes able to control orthosis and an exotropia of = 15 ?, with no difference in the degree of farsightedness and nearsightedness, and good binocular visual function (Mohney's and Holmes' 6-point control scale less than level 3, less than 400 seconds of arc at near on Titmus stereo-test); (2) Anisometropia = 1.50D; Column mirror degree = 1.50D; (3) Prior to measurement, there were no treatment experiences that had an impact on the anterior segment tissue, such as the use of low concentration atropine and corneal reshaping lenses.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Presence of amblyopia, nystagmus; (2) Special types of strabismus such as combined vertical strabismus, A-V pattern, separated vertical strabismus, paralytic strabismus, and restrictive strabismus; (3) Existence of other eye diseases except for refractive errors and intermittent exotropia; (4) Concomitant systemic or neurological diseases; (5) Recently received accommodated training.
