Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) patients aged over 18 years with typical symptoms and signs of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy and/or myelopathy (2) objective signs of nerve root and/or cord compression as shown on an MRI. (3) with dizziness symptoms (4)underwent ACDF or ACDR or Hybrid or ACCF or ELAP.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) the patients with myelopathic imbalance and gait impairment (2) the performance of surgery targeting at infection, trauma, tumor, deformity; (3) dizziness caused by neurologic factors and the neurologic factors based on HINTS (head-impulse, nystagmus, test of skew) examination, along with neurologic examination, and assessment of nystagmus; (4) otolaryngologic factor such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) which was excluded by otolaryngologists based on Dix-Hallpike test and roll test4; (5) climacteric syndrome was excluded by gynecologists based on examination of ECG and serum biochemical such as serum calcium, phosphorus, blood glucose, blood lipid, blood urea nitrogen, liver and kidney function, and hormone determination including sex hormone, hypothalamic pituitary-adrenal and pituitary thyroid axis, and the Kupperman Index and Utian Quality of Life Scale (UQOLS); (6) dizziness caused by psychological illness was evaluated by Huaxi emotional-distress index (HEI). (7) orthostatic blood pressure measurement, ECG, echocardiography and vertebral artery ultrasound or MRA were performed to access a cardiovascular and vertebral artery condition.
