Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. More than 30% of students in a class have been assessed as having poor or problematic mental health overall, sleep quality, depression, anxiety, stress, dangerous behaviors, and lifestyle, or mental health literacy in one of the questionnaires. 2. The school, class, and parents support and agree to participate in the research project. 3. The school has a full-time or part-time mental health teacher and regularly offers mental health education or counseling courses. 4. The school has sufficient hardware and software conditions to carry out music education. 5. The class has not been receiving or has never received any mental health-related interventions before the intervention implementation. 6. The class is a junior high or senior high class in a public middle school.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Schools, class leaders, subject teachers, parents do not support the class; 2. the class has not obtained the informed consent of all parents; 3. the school does not have a full-time or part-time mental health teacher and does not regularly offer mental health education courses; 4. the class is currently receiving or has previously received relevant intervention measures; 5. the class is in a special school or private high school in the secondary education stage; 6. the class is not facing pressure from entrance exams.
