Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who were admitted to West China Hospital, Sichuan University between 1 January 2009 and 1 November 2019 and diagnosis with thyroid cancer or with a ICD-10 of C73, were included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria for the database population are: (1) patients with incorrect diagnostic information; (2) patients who were not seen for thyroid cancer or have no records of thyroid cancer-related diagnosis and treatment; (3) patients with missing information on hospitalization number or case number; (4) patients with missing information on initial surgical treatment
