I-S group: Intervention-elderly with relatively stable intrinsic capacity:1 structured course per month
I-MD group: Intervention-Elderly with mild to moderate decline in intrinsic capacity:In month 1, 1 structured session per week
in months 2 to 3, 1 structured session every 2 weeks
in months 4 to 12, 1 structured session per month.
I-SD group: Intervention-Elderly with sever decline in intrinsic capacity:1 structured session per week for the first 3 months, 1 structured session every 2 weeks for months 4-6, and 1 structured sess
C-D group: Control-Elderly with decline in intrinsic ability:Oral education and guide will be provided to the participants.
C-S group: Control-Elderly with relatively stable intrinsic capacity:Oral education and guide will be provided to the participants.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) community residents aged 75 years or older; (2) Be able to communicate and cooperate with researchers; (3) stable chronic diseases without any "acute episode" or emergencies.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Unreversible end-stage diseases status with impaired functional abilities. Including but not limited to dyspnea at rest, ascites or edema which affect daily activities, disease with organ function failure with in the last month, including but not limited to: congestive heart failure with NYHA level III and IV heart function, decompensated cirrhosis or patient with Child-Pugh level C, patients who still need regular chemotherapy or radiotherapy; (2) Expected survival less then 1 year estimated by doctors; (3) Patients not suitable for exercise, including but not limited to myocardial infarction within 6 months, unstable angina, uncontrolled arrhythmia, stroke within the last 6 months with residual obstructed movement, uncontrolled hypertension, newly onset pulmonary embolism, fracture in the past 3 months, uncontrolled arthritis; (4) Those who have difficulties in feeding and require enteral or parenteral nutritional support and are unable to improve nutrition in a community setting;(5)Incapacitated or bed-ridden elderly and elderly with progressive dementia.
