Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Those diagnosed as type 2 diabetes according to the diagnostic criteria of the Guideline for the Prevention and Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus in China (2020 edition); (2) No gender limit, aged 18 to 85 years old; (3) Having good compliance, with at least 5 years of follow-up; (4) Sign an informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Severe liver and kidney dysfunction (ALT greater than 5 times the normal upper limit, or eGFR<30 mL/min/1.73m2), mental illness, accompanied by severe infection, severe anemia, neutropenia, severe heart disease, severe liver disease (cirrhosis), tumors, and other diseases; (2) Having the specific types of diabetes (such as diabetes with single gene mutation, diabetes caused by pancreatic injury or other secondary diabetes (such as diabetes caused by Cushing's syndrome, thyroid dysfunction or acromegaly)); (3) Acute complications of diabetes (such as diabetes ketoacidosis, diabetes lactic acidosis, etc.); (4) Acute or chronic infections (such as tuberculosis); (5) Recently experienced allergic reactions (within 1 month); (6) Autoimmune system diseases; (7) Pregnancy, lactation, and preparation period; (8) Patients with poor compliance or potential withdrawal (frequent business trips, plans to go abroad, or mobility difficulties) who have been judged by the researchers to be unable to receive regular follow-up.
