Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria:Control group inclusion criteria for hypertension: ? Patients diagnosed with primary hypertension without left ventricular hypertrophy. The diagnostic criteria for primary hypertension are as follows: average 24-hour blood pressure =130/80; clinic blood pressure =140/90; isolated systolic hypertension with systolic blood pressure =140 and diastolic blood pressure <90 mm Hg (1 mm Hg = 0.133 kPa); ? Age range of 35-75 years; ? Signed informed consent form. Inclusion criteria for hypertension with left ventricular hypertrophy group: ? Patients meeting the diagnostic criteria for primary hypertension with left ventricular hypertrophy. The diagnostic criteria for primary hypertension are as follows: average 24-hour blood pressure =130/80; clinic blood pressure =140/90; isolated systolic hypertension with systolic blood pressure =140 and diastolic blood pressure <90 mm Hg (1 mm Hg = 0.133 kPa); the diagnostic criteria for left ventricular hypertrophy are as follows: echocardiography shows left ventricular mass index (LVMI) =115 (males) or =95 g/m2 (females); ? Age range of 35-75 years; ? Signed informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: ? Patients with secondary hypertension; ? Patients with primary or other secondary cardiomyopathies; ? Patients with malignant tumors, thyroid dysfunction, or severe liver and kidney dysfunction.
