Inclusion criteria

After assessment by a traditional Chinese orthopedic physician, it was determined that their stage was suitable for receiving Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hip-protecting treatment. (ii) Patients underwent treatment with "Hip-Protecting Treatment Cream 1" for a minimum of 2 complete courses, and they did not receive any other medication treatment. (iii) The MRI scans conducted on patients included the following sequences: T1-weighted images (sagittal and coronal) and T2-weighted images (fat-suppressed coronal and transverse). (iv) Patients had complete clinical examinations and other relevant information available.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (i) Patients who did not complete the full course of traditional Chinese medicine treatment. (ii) Lack of either T1-weighted (T1WI) or T2-weighted (T2WI) sequence in the imaging data, or poor MRI quality that is insufficient for accurate lesion identification. (iii) Patients with chronic conditions such as cardiovascular diseases, renal dysfunction, or other hip joint disorders such as ankylosing spondylitis-related hip stiffness, pigmented villonodular synovitis of the hip, etc.
