18 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients admitted to the ICU with an expected length of stay longer than 72 h 2. Age =18 years old

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnancy 2. established DVT or pulmonary embolism at the admission 3. Expected ICU length of stay <72h 4. Inability no contraindication to obtain adequate ultrasound of the lower extremities 5. Limitation of life support, life expectancy =7 days or palliative care
