Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged 18 years or older who have been diagnosed by the hospital pathology department as having oral malignancies and undergoing radiation therapy; 2. Initial radiotherapy and the irradiation field includes the tongue. 3. Karnofsky (KPS) functional status score >= 50; and no serious organic damage to heart, liver, brain, kidney, etc.; 4. Patients who participate voluntarily, are conscious, can communicate normally, and have no mental illness or cognitive impairment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with total tongue removal; 2. Use of drugs that affect gustatory function during radiotherapy (e.g., the cytoprotective agent amphotericin, the saliva-increasing drug pilocarpine); 3. Patients with known or suspected allergy to experimentally relevant materials; 4. Patients with skin breakdown or edema at the selected acupuncture point.
