Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) according to the new classification of periodontal disease in 2018, the patients were diagnosed as having stage III or IV periodontitis, (2) did not receive periodontal treatment in the last 3 months, (3) all patients had the same oral hygiene habits, and brushed their teeth after breakfast and dinner, brush teeth twice a day, (4) did not take antibiotics within 3 months, (5) patients signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) systemic disease related to periodontitis; (2) lactation or pregnancy.
