Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 18 years old, regardless of sex; 2. Meet the diagnostic criteria of sepsis (Sepsis 3.0); for patients with infection or suspected infection, sepsis can be diagnosed when the score of sequential (Sepsis-related) organ failure assessment (SOFA) rises by >= 2 points from the baseline; 3. Obtain informed consent and sign an informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Accompanied with severe cardiovascular disease, extremely critical condition, or cerebral hernia. Failure to fulfill the study is highly expected; 2. Accompanied with limb vascular occlusive disease, or with other diseases or conditions which cannot tolerate the intervention; 3. Other conditions that are not suitable for RIPC treatment, such as skin damage, severe thrombocytopenia, abnormal blood clotting, etc; 4. pregnant or lactating patients.
