Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients admitted to the ICU and meeting the following conditions: 1 Age =18 years old; 2 Meets the definition of septic shock criteria, defined as persistent hypotension above sepsis requiring vasoactive agents to maintain a mean arterial pressure =65 mmHg and a blood lactate level =2 mmol/L despite adequate fluid resuscitation; 3 patients who consented to the use of PICCO hemodynamic monitoring.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 End-stage malignant tumors; 2 severe trauma; 3 pregnancy; 4 patients whose transthoracic echocardiographic data were not available; 5. Suspected infection or existing infection in the puncture site; 6 Intracardiac shunt and severe valvular regurgitation; Aortic aneurysm, aortic stenosis; 7 Lobectomy or massive pulmonary embolism; 8 Conditions deemed inappropriate for enrollment by the physician.
