Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients admitted to our department for shoulder arthroscopic rotator cuff suture repair from September 2023 to September 2024 (200 cases); 2. Age > 18 years; 3. Patients who need to undergo suture repair of the lower rotator cuff of the shoulder joint due to rotator cuff injury. 4. All patients signed informed consent forms, and this study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Diabetics; 2. Thyroid dysfunction; 3. Patients with severe liver and kidney dysfunction and contraindications to the use of metformin; 4. Refusal to enroll or refusal to sign an informed consent form.
