Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. The subject met the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for bipolar depression and was currently in an acute episode as determined by the MINI interview. 2. Age 18-60 years old, regardless of gender. 3. No history of alcohol and drug abuse; No family history of nervous system disease; There was no history of a definite diagnosis of neurological or other serious physical illness. 4. Able to understand and comply with the requirements of the study according to the judgment of the investigator. 5. Sign informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Meet the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria except bipolar depression. 2. Those with severe self-harm and suicidal impulses. And 3. Patients with known diagnosis of hypertriglyceridemia or hypercholesterolemia or diabetes who were currently taking lipid-lowering and glucose-lowering drugs. 4. Clinically significant deviation of clinical laboratory test results and electrocardiogram results at enrollment; QTc in male ?430ms, QTc in female ?450ms; Absolute neutrophil count < 1. 5 × 109 /L; Liver function measures AST or ALT at or above 2 times the upper limit of normal. 5. Patients with traumatic brain injury or history of coma. 6. Pregnant and lactating women. 7. Previous seizures or family history of epileptic disorders.
