Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)The CBCT scans showed no distortion or motion artifacts, and were taken in a centric occlusion state with an appropriate field of view, covering the entire mandible and teeth, as well as the temporomandibular joint. 2)No joint osseous changes were observed. 3)There were no significant facial asymmetries (menton deviation greater than 4mm).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Radiographic features of condylar degenerative diseases, erosions, subchondral cysts, systemic sclerosis, or exostoses; 2)Signs of facial or dental trauma; 3)Syndromes or congenital craniofacial deformities, such as cleft lip and palate; 4)No history of orthodontic or orthognathic treatment.
