18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) age =18 years old; (2) vegetative state/unresponsive wakefulness was assessed syndrome, VS/UWS) or minimally conscious state (MCS) according to Coma Recovery Scale-Revised.; (3) disease duration > 28 days; (4) no hearing impairment before onset; (5) stable vital signs; (6) Informed consent was obtained from family members voluntarily.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) previous psychiatric or neurological diseases; (2) patients with hearing impairment; (3) combined with any clinically significant or unstable medical diseases, such as severe cardiopulmonary dysfunction, renal insufficiency, etc.; (4) Failure to complete the observation and follow-up as planned, such as termination of treatment due to severe complications during the study, natural dropout (including transfer to other hospitals, transfer to other departments, refusal of treatment by family members, and death); (5) Patients or their family members did not cooperate and did not sign the informed consent.
