Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The study on the correlation between CP and NAFLD(Part 1): Adults aged 35-75 who can cooperate and agree to the oral examination in the Physical Examination Center of the First Hospital of Jilin University. The effect of periodontal initial therapy on the outcome of NAFLD(Part 2): Patients with NAFLD and moderate or severe CP, the treatment group can cooperate with periodontal treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The study on the correlation between CP and NAFLD (Part 1): (1)Patients who had periodontal treatment within one year before enrollment ;(2) Patients who suffered from liver diseases other than NAFLD (alcoholic liver disease, viral hepatitis, drug-induced liver disease, hepatolenticular degeneration, Autoimmune liver disease, hepatic hemangioma, etc.);(3) bleeding disorders or abnormal coagulation function;(4)pregnant women;(5) alcohol consumption>21 standard cups/week for men,>14 standard cups/week for women (1 standard cup is about 14g ethanol);(6)Unable to cooperate with the inspection;(7) data missing or lost to follow-up. The effect of periodontal initial therapy on the outcome of NAFLD (Part 2): On the basis of meeting the exclusion criteria in Part 1, (1)women who are preparing for pregnancy;(2)periodontal treatment group excludes infectious diseases, cardiac pacemakers, active angina pectoris, myocardial infarction within half-year, uncontrolled high blood pressure and heart failure which not suitable and cannot tolerate periodontal therapy.
