18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Age= 18 years old; (2) ASA Grading I-III; (3) Patients with intermediate and high risk of pulmonary complications according to ARISCAT score (=26 points); (4) The estimated postoperative hospital stay is more than 24 hours; (5) Upper abdominal surgery (radical gastric resection) or thoracic surgery (pneumonectomy)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Pregnancy or breastfeeding; (2) Severe liver and kidney diseases; (3) presence of obstructive sleep apnea; (4) The use of butorphanol tartrate is contraindicated; (5) history of opioid abuse; (6) Psychiatric disease or impaired consciousness before surgery; (7) Use of ventilator before surgery; (8) The duration of the operation is less than 0.5 h; (9) Cognitive dysfunction before surgery; (10) Refusal to sign informed consent.
