Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1: Meets diagnostic criteria for inflammatory bowel disease. 2: Age between 18 and 65 years. 3: No history of abdominal surgery. 4: No contraindications to MRI examination. 5: Inclusion criteria for normal controls: a) Age between 18 and 65 years. b)Lower secondary education or above. c) All right-handed. MoCA score =26.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1: Severe neurological pathologies such as tumours, stroke and traumatic brain injury. 2: Acute cardiovascular disease such as acute arterial embolism and acute heart failure. History of neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease or Alzheimer's disease. 3: Those with claustrophobia who are unable to have an MR scan. A history of any drug or alcohol abuse.
