Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ?Patients who had teeth with deep caries to the pulpal 1/4 of the dentin and and came to the stomatology department of our hospital, including both mature and immature permanent teeth; ?Tooth should be vital via cold test and electric pulp test; ?The tooth is restorable and probing pocket depth and mobility within normal limits, and with no non-caries diseases such as cracked-teeth; ?The periodontal space in the apical area on the radiograph is normal or slightly widened, or there is a small area of low-density shadow (the diameter of periapical projection is <2mm); ?There were no other pathological factors on the radiograph such as endodontic absorption, extracondontic absorption, root canal calcification, etc; ?The affected tooth may have mild percussion discomfort, but no signs of pulpal necrosis including sinus tract or swelling; ?The patient has noncontributory medical history; ? Agree to participate in this study and ensure follow-up.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: ?Deep root caries or caries extends to subgingival that it is difficult to obtain perfect restoration; ?Tooth with large caries area that cannot be isolated using a dental dam; ?Insufficient bleeding after pulp exposure; the pulp is judged necrotic or partially necrotic with microscopic magnification; ?Bleeding could not be controlled after full pulpotomy in 5 minutes under microscope; ?Pregnant women and pregnant patients during follow-up.
