Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: From August 2023 to October 2024, children with stage 2 and stage 3 NEC with gestational age below 34 weeks admitted to the Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University were selected as the observation group, and premature infants with a gestational age of less than 34 weeks hospitalized during the same period were selected as the control group. Inclusion Criteria: Inclusion criteria for the observation group: (1) gestational age less than 34 weeks; (2) NEC stage 2 or 3 diagnosis according to Bell's stage; (3) completion of intestinal flora, metabolite determination and Gesell score at 1 year of age. The control group included the following criteria: (1) children with gestational age less than 34 weeks and non-NEC; (2) Complete the determination of intestinal flora, metabolites and Gesell score at 1 year old.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria: (1) Those who died during hospitalization; (2) severe intracranial hemorrhage occurred during hospitalization; (3) Intestinal flora, metabolite determination and Gesell score at 1 year of age were not completed; (4) Those who do not want to participate in this study.
