18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. the patient is between the ages of 18 and 65 years; 2. meets the criteria for primary headache according to the International Classification of Headache Disorders (ICHD-3).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. subjects with a smoking habit; 2. medical diagnosis of anxiety/depression; 3. medical diagnosis of chronic pain disorder; 4. subjects with a pain disorder other than headache as defined by the IHS; 5. subjects taking medication that affects the central nervous system; 6. subjects taking migraine prophylactic medication within the past month; 7. evidence of underlying pathology causing headache; 8. pathology of the salivary glands, such as salpingitis (e.g. dry syndrome, viral or bacterial salpingitis) or conditions or symptoms that would alter saliva levels.
