Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria: 1) The study subjects were all older than or equal to 65 years old; 2) The patients in the case group had to meet the criteria of impaired cognitive function: the MMSE scores of the illiterate, the elementary school students, and the secondary school and above were =17, =20, and =24, respectively; 3) The patients in the control group had to meet the criterion of normal cognitive function: the MMSE scores of the illiterate, the elementary school students, and the secondary school and above were greater than 17, 20, and 24, respectively. (4) The study subjects themselves and their families gave informed consent and voluntarily signed the consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: 1) Presence of other central nervous system disorders, such as brain tumors, traumatic brain injury, inflammatory or demyelinating disorders of the central nervous system, as well as normal cranial pressure hydrocephalus; 2) Presence of other systemic diseases causing cognitive decline; 3) Presence of significant psychiatric disorders (e.g., schizophrenia and major depression, etc.), as well as substance use disorders or alcohol abuse; 4) Presence of other major diseases, such as cerebral vascular accident; 5) Presence of severe mental disorders (e.g., schizophrenia and severe depression, etc.) other major illnesses; 5) the presence of severe hearing or vision impairment that prevents completion of the questionnaire.
