Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing elective caesarean section under spinal anaesthesia, age =18 years, normal singleton pregnancy (37-42 weeks), American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status ?or III.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Congenital coagulopathy; 2. Anatomical abnormalities; 3. Localised infection; 4. Patients who are unable to comprehend or use the verbal rating pain scoring system or patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) pump; 5. Patients who had a history of alcohol abuse; 6. Pre-eclampsia; 7. Routine use of opioid medications; 8. Refusal to participate.
