Interventions

Intervention group 2:Progressive resistance exercise intervention for the four major muscle groups + weight-bearing functional training
Intervention group 1:Progressive resistance movement intervention of muscles around the knee joint+weight-bearing functional training
Control group:Progressive resistance exercise intervention for muscles around the knee joint

45 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. 45 years old<=Age<=85 years old; 2. Overweight/obese, 24kg/m^2<=BMI<=35kg/m^2; 3. At least one knee with Kellgren Lawrence grade 2 or 3 osteoarthritis; 4. Numerical rating scale (NRS) 3-7 points on the affected side; 5. Less than 30 minutes of formal exercise per week in the past 6 months; 6. Agree to participate in this study; 7. Clear consciousness and able to cooperate with the intervention.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe comorbidities that may hinder safe participation in the intervention; 2. History of acute knee injury; 3. Unwilling or unable to change exercise behavior; 4. Suffering from severe cognitive impairment or depression; 5. Unable to walk without a cane or other assistive devices; 6. Currently participating in other intervention studies.
