Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Age 18-65 years old, gender unlimited; (2) Patients who meet the surgical indications of ‘the Chinese Guidelines for Surgical Treatment of Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes (2019 edition) ’and have been admitted to our hospital for bariatric and metabolic surgery; (3) With good cardiopulmonary function, stable vital signs, and no obvious contraindications; (4) Able to walk autonomously, no fall history in the past year, no obvious motor dysfunction; (5) Without significant joint pain or gait/balance disturbance caused by other non-obesity related complications; (6) Voluntary participation, signed by the patient himself or his immediate family members signed the informed consent; (7) Promise to be readmitted to hospital for follow-up 1 month, 6 months and 12 months after surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients who do not meet the surgical indications or have surgical contraindications assessed by general surgery department; (2) Elevated white blood cells or neutrophils or other evidence of infection were found in the preoperative examination; (3) Postoperative complications; (4) Diseases combined with other non-obesity complications that seriously affect joint pain, walking and balance function, such as bone and joint trauma, Parkinson's disease, cerebellar stroke, etc.; (5) Serious heart, lung, liver, kidney and other important organ failure; (6) Uncontrolled hypertension, arrhythmia, severe coronary heart disease, and poor control of diabetes complications; (7) With mental illness and cognitive language and hearing impairment; (8) Participating in other clinical trials; (9) Patient who can not cooperate with postoperative diet and lifestyle changes, poor compliance; (10) Incomplete data records meeting the requirements of the study.
