Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients with migraine without aura diagnosed according to the ICHD-3 and with the headache located at the lateral head at the hand-foot Shaoyang meridian. 2) Age 18-65 years, right handedness. 3) history of migraine for at least 1 year. 4) migraine attacks at least 2 times per month. 5) No acupuncture or medication within 24 hours of an acute migraine attack, and no preventive treatment for migraine within the past 3 months. 6) Subjects signed an informed consent form and volunteered to participate in the trial.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) other primary headaches such as chronic migraine, tension headache, neurogenic headache and cluster headache. 2) Headaches caused by other secondary headaches or other neurological disorders such as otorhinolaryngology or intracranial pathologies such as depression or Parkinson's. 3) more serious systemic diseases (cardiovascular disease, acute infectious disease, hematologic disease, endocrine disease, allergy or hemoptysis). 4) Those who have used prophylactic medication or acupuncture treatment within the last 3 months 5) Pregnancy, breastfeeding and preparation for pregnancy. 6) smokers, alcoholics and drug users 7) Those who have experienced pain within 3 days prior to the scan 8) Those with contraindications to acupuncture, such as blood disorders, local infections, etc. 9) Contraindications to MRI scanning, such as metal implants in the body, claustrophobia, etc.
