Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) patients undergoing a single-level TLIF with bilateral pedicle screw instrumentation for degenerative spinal conditions, including degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis, lumbar disc herniation, degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis, and degenerative lumbar scoliosis; (2) patients with preoperative lumber CT or radiographs and non-contrast T1-weighted MRIs; (3) patients with at least 1 year of postoperative following-up with radiological imaging records including radiographs or CT scans.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) patients with age <18 years old; (2) patients underwent multilevel TLIF, with previous spinal fusion surgery or with clearly identified endplate violation during surgery; (3) patients with Schmorls nodes, spine infection, tumor, trauma, or metabolic bone disease other than osteopenia or osteoporosis.
