Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with valvular heart disease who underwent surgery in the Department of Cardiac Surgery, Guangdong Province People's Hospital from July 2023 to December 2024. Who could not exclude the diagnosis of infective endocarditis before surgery ( at least one clinical criterion of the modified Duke criteria was met in addition to predisposing heart condition), and with informed consent form obtained for the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who was pregnant or under 18 years of age; patients who did not obtain informed consent; patients who did not obtain all specimens required for the study.
