Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Two hundred medical examiners with primary hypertension without combined renal damage (eGFR = 90 ml/min/1.73 m2) and primary hypertension with combined renal damage (eGFR < 60 ml/min/1.73 m2), and health check-ups at Hebei General Hospital from June 2022 to December 2023 were selected. Inclusion criteria were: Patients with hypertension whose blood pressure was =140/ 90 mmHg and/or current use of antihypertensive medication for 5 years or more. eGFR =90 ml/min/1.73 m2. Patients with hypertension combined with renal damage whose blood pressure was 140/ 90 mmHg, previous diagnosis of hypertension for 5 years or more, and/or current use of antihypertensive medication for 5 years or more. eGFR <60 ml/min/1.73 m2.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Hypertensive emergencies, severe hypertension (systolic blood pressure >180 mmHg), diabetes mellitus, recent cardiovascular events (myocardial infarction, stroke, or congestive heart failure within 6 months), hematologic disorders, tumors, acute and chronic infections, thyroid dysfunction, primary renal disease, autoimmune disease, pregnancy, and renal transplantation. Healthy subjects were enrolled with blood pressure of <140/80 mmHg and white coat hypertension was also excluded, with no history of hypertension or cardiovascular disease and no treatment with antihypertensive drugs.
