Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) aged 18 and above; (2) had primary and secondary education in a foreign country or region outside China; (3) was pursuing a bachelor, master or doctoral degree in China; (4) self-reported experiencing menstrual symptoms change after arriving at China. We defined the menstrual symptoms change as "changes in severity or frequency of symptoms such as cramps, irritability, pain, or fatigue that were not experienced before living in China, and the changes lasted at least two consecutive menstrual cycles before joining the study"; (5) understood Mandarin or English, and (6) would live in Hunan province for the following 6 months.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Pregnancy; (2) having a physical illness (diagnosed with gynecological disorders such as primary amenorrhea, polycystic ovary syndrome, and any pathological situations that could cause menstrual disturbances); (3) taking any medication that could affect their menstrual symptoms; (4) having an injury that prevents them from exercising properly; (5) having low exercise adherence rate less than 80%.
