Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) diagnosed by a secondary or higher hospital or those who regularly take hypoglycemic drugs at baseline; 2. Aged >= 60 years; 3. Sign the informed consent. 4. Absence of biophilic design elements in the living environment at baseline (only for the long-term experiment).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia and hysteria; 2. Patients with diagnosed dementia, cognitive impairment, severe physical disabilities, language disorders who are unable to cooperate with questionnaire surveys or physical examinations; 3. Cognitive impairments caused by diseases such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, brain trauma, stroke, epilepsy, and intracranial space-occupying lesions.
