VR group:On the evening of the day before surgery, patients were assisted to watch 18-20 minutes of panoramic videos using a head-mounted VR device: including about 12 minutes of videos on the disease
Control group:The night before the surgery, patients were assisted to watch 18-20 minutes of flat-screen videos on their iPads: about 12 minutes of videos about carotid artery stenosis and stroke dise

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ?18 years of age or older; ?eligible for surgery and determined to undergo CAS surgery on the next day; ?relatively stable condition, not in the acute phase; ?willing to participate in this study and sign the trial informed consent form
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: ? cognitive impairment, unable to understand and cooperate with the test; ? symptoms of dizziness, headache, vomiting and other symptoms unsuitable for the use of VR equipment; ? audio-visual impairment, unable to wear and watch VR videos (such as eye disease); ? patients with severe physical dysfunction or strict braking;
