Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (a) diagnosis of nephrotic syndrome; (b) treatment with glucocorticoids; (c) age 18 years or older.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (a) age less than 18 years, (b) presence of systemic neuromuscular disease, (c) presence of other chronic diseases (i.e., extensive metastatic disease, heart failure), (d) use of hormone therapy for other diseases (e.g., asthma.) , and (e) use of renal replacement therapy.
