Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 18 and 75 years old, gender unrestricted. 2. Newly diagnosed sepsis patients with secondary intra-abdominal infection (such as appendicitis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis, digestive tract perforation caused by gastric or duodenal ulcers, iatrogenic anastomotic fistula, postoperative intra-abdominal bleeding, foreign body retention, etc.) during ICU hospitalization who meet the diagnostic criteria of the "2016 International Guidelines for the Management of Severe Sepsis and Septic Shock" (infection or suspected infection, and SOFA score = 2 points) and have been diagnosed for less than 48 hours.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant women; 2. Those with immunosuppressive conditions, including a history of malignant tumors, long-term use of steroids or immunosuppressive drugs (including antifungal and antiviral drugs), HIV or other immunodeficiency diseases, and a history of organ transplantation; 3. Those who have used immunostimulants (such as thymopentin, interleukins, immunoglobulin, etc.); 4. Sepsis caused by primary intra-abdominal infection (without a primary lesion in the abdomen, but migrated from other parts to the abdomen); 5. ICU stay less than 24 hours; 6. Those who have been diagnosed with sepsis in an external hospital or other department before being transferred to the ICU.
