Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with coronary heart disease undergoing coronary angiography in the Affiliated Nanhua Hospital, Department of Cardiology, Hengyang Medical School, University of South China and healthy volunteers aged between 18 and 75 years old were recruited. All the selected subjects signed the informed consent form and submitted to the hospital ethics committee for approval. Cad was defined as the presence of =50% stenosis in at least one coronary artery. Patients with CAD were divided into the following two groups: stable coronary artery disease (SCAD) and acute coronary syndrome (ACS). ACS is further divided into acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), acute non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) and unstable angina (UA).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients had gastrointestinal surgery within the previous year, severe chronic gastrointestinal disease, malignant tumor, infectious disease, autoimmune disease, severe hepatic or renal dysfunction (CKD stage =3), and had received antibiotics for more than 3 consecutive days in the previous 3 months.
