Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1)BMI=32.5 27.5 = BMI < 32.5, difficult to control after lifestyle changes and medical treatment, and meeting at least 2 components of metabolic syndrome, or with complications. (2) Male waist circumference = 90 cm, female waist circumference = 85 cm, referring to imaging findings indicating central obesity, surgery is recommended after extensive consultation by the Multidisciplinary Comprehensive Treatment Team (MDT). (3) The age ranged from 16 to 65 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) The patient was definitely diagnosed as non obese type 1 diabetes. (2) The function of pancreatic islet B cells in patients with T2DM has been basically lost. (3) Surgery is currently not recommended for patients with a BMI of<25.0. (4) Patients with pregnancy diabetes and some special types of diabetes. (5) Addiction to drugs or alcohol or suffering from uncontrollable mental illness. (6) People with intellectual impairment or immaturity and unable to control their behavior. (7) Those who have unrealistic expectations for surgery. (8) Those who are unwilling to bear the risk of potential complications of surgery. (9) Those who cannot cooperate with changes in diet and living habits after surgery and have poor compliance. (10) Poor general condition, difficult to tolerate general anesthesia or surgery.
