Intervention group:All the participants in the experimental group were given prepared red bean pack for perineal warm compress at 10 cm cervical dilation.
control group:For control group, the participants were not given perineal warm compress

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria included: primiparous women, 18–35 years old, singleton, full-term pregnancies and cephalic presentation.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Women were also excluded if they had mental illness, not able to read, understand and communicate in Chinese, or had complicated pregnancies.
