Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients scheduled for abdominal surgery under general anesthesia; 2. Age >= 60 years; 3. ASA classification I - III; 4. Individuals who have signed the informed consent form prior to surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients for emergency surgery; 2. Documented history of severe heart, lung, liver and kidney dysfunction; 3. Documented history of neuropsychiatric diseases such as anxiety, depression, dementia, stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease and AD before operation; 4. Patients with cognitive impairment assessed by MMSE; 5. Patients with serious auditory or visual dysfunction; 6. Alcohol or drug addicts; 7. Individuals who do not cooperate or with communication difficulties.
