Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Genetically confirmed ß-TM. 2. HSCT was performed between January 2008 and December 2022 in the hematopoietic stem cell transplantation specialty of children's Medical Center in Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital. 3. Age at HSCT was < 18 years old. 4. Fasting insulin and fasting glucose were assessed after HSCT in Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Dependent on RBC transfusion at time of assessment. 2.Insulin resistance, impaired fasting glucose, impaired glucose tolerance or diabetes had been confirmed before HSCT. 3.Previous glucocorticoid use within 3 months before assessment and children having received treatment with drugs affecting glucose metabolism at the time of assessment. 4.Children had acute infectious disease or active GVHD at the time of assessment.
