Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients met the diagnostic criteria of ITP within 3 months of first diagnosis 2) age > 28 days but =14 years old 3) Poor gamma globulin response: platelet count < 30×109/L after 1 week of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) treatment 4) Informed consent has been signed
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with intracranial hemorrhage or severe gastrointestinal or urinary tract bleeding need emergency treatment, such as simultaneous use of platelet transfusion and thrombopoietin (recombinant human thrombopoietin, eltrombopag, etc.) 2) patients received glucocorticoid therapy within 6 months 3) menstruating female children 4) patients with underlying diseases such as neoplastic diseases, autoimmune diseases or genetic diseases 5) patients who had received chemoradiotherapy 6) have contraindications to glucocorticoid use (hypertension, glaucoma, peptic ulcer, etc.) 7) have any significant comorbidity or mental illness that may affect patient safety and compliance, informed consent, study participation, follow-up, or result interpretation
