Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ?Meeting the Western medical diagnostic criteria for primary dysmenorrhea; ?Meeting the TCM syndrome differentiation criteria for primary dysmenorrhea, including qi stagnation and blood stasis, cold coagulation and blood stasis, or dampness-heat stagnation and blood stasis; ?Aged between 16 and 45 years; ?Regular menstrual cycle (28±7 days) and a disease course =1 year; ?Patients with moderate to severe primary dysmenorrhea, with a visual analog scale (VAS) score =40 for the worst pain during menstrual periods; ?Agreeing to participate in this trial and signing an informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: ?Women undergoing artificial cycle regulation with a fertility requirement within one year; ?Patients with evident organic lesions of the reproductive organs, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, and adenomyosis, as indicated by ultrasound and gynecological examination, and who suffer from secondary dysmenorrhea; ?Patients with a history of pelvic or abdominal surgery or taking Western medicine interventions such as contraceptive medicine within the past month; ?Patients with serious primary diseases that may affect the cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, spleen, liver, kidney, or hematopoietic system, as well as patients with mental illness, active gastric ulcers, and asthma, based on medical history; ?Patients with any contraindications to acupuncture, scars or infections at the acupuncture sites, or any systemic diseases that the investigator believes may make the use of the acupuncture treatment inappropriate; ?Patients who have participated in other clinical trials or received physical therapies in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine, such as acupuncture, moxibustion, and cupping, within the past month. Those meeting any of the above criteria will be excluded from the study.
