Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Age at liver transplantation: 18 years in the adult group; (2) Use of the same anti-rejection regimen and with prophylactic, empirical anti-infection regimens within each group for children and adults; (3) No significant bacterial, viral or fungal infection-related symptoms, body fluid biochemistry and etiological evidence during the time interval of peripheral blood collection.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with inconsistent anti-rejection regimens, or mutations in genes related to tacrolimus metabolism, or postoperative fluctuations in blood levels outside the expected range (2) Patients with other clear evidence of preoperative viral infection (e.g. hepatitis C virus, cytomegalovirus) (3) Other immune system disorders, secondary liver transplantation, combined organ transplantation, ABO blood group incompatibility, or significant postoperative vascular or biliary complications
