Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) 18-70 years old; (2) cough lasting for above 8 weeks, normal chest imaging, with or without regurgitation, heartburn and retrosternal pain and other typical reflux symptoms; (3) multichannel esophageal impedance-pH monitoring showed esophageal acid exposure time = 5% and/or SAP = 95%; (4) upper airway cough syndrome, cough variant asthma and eosinophilic bronchitis were not considered according to medical history and laboratory tests, or failed targeting etiological therapy; (5)cough symptoms were relieved or disappeared by subsequent anti-reflux therapy.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Pregnant or lactating women or those who refuse to sign the informed consent form; (2) smoking or quitting smoking for = 2 years; (3) history of respiratory infection within 8 weeks; (4) cough with multiple etiologies; (5) other circumstances that the investigator considered are not suitable for enrolling the study.
