Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients underwent bariatric surgery in the Fourth Department of General Surgery, the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University from January 2022 to October 2022. Among them, patients who were diagnosed with gout before admission or diagnosed by specialist consultation with gout attack for the first time during one month after surgical were selected. (2) Patients were followed up after surgery to provide information about gout attack. The patients were reexamined according to the doctor's advice in the first month after operation. Postoperative diet, exercise, and living habits were strictly in accordance with the plans of the case manager. (3) Aged between 16 and 65 years old

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) patients who were lost to follow-up and did not cooperate with the re-examination were excluded; (2) Patients with major liver and kidney diseases were excluded; (3) patients who did not follow the doctor's advice or had bad living habits that affected their health were excluded; (4) those with severe mental illness and no independent behavior ability were excluded; (5) Patients with gout attack at admission were excluded.
