Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Acromegaly: 1) Aged 16-70 years old, male or female; 2) 1. Meet the diagnostic criteria of AG established by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE): having typical AG clinical manifestations; if not having typical AG clinical manifestations, but two or more of the following symptoms: diabetes, thick limbs and face changes, new or uncontrollable hypertension, multiple joint pain, fatigue, headache, carpal tunnel syndrome, hyperhidrosis, visual field defects and progressive mandibular protrusion. 2. Female random GH >= 8 ng/ml, male random GH >= 3 ng/ml, or GH nadir during oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT) >= 1 ng/ml; 3. IGF-1 greater than the normal reference level matched with their own age; 4. pituitary MRI or head CT revealed space-occupying lesions in the sellar region; 5. or after surgery or drug and other related treatment, the clinical manifestations, symptoms and biochemistry were not significantly relieved; 3) clinical cases, laboratory tests, and examination data were complete. 4) Willing to participate in this study and sign the informed consent form. Non-functional pituitary adenoma: 1) Aged 16-70 years old, male or female; 2) No surgery or radiotherapy; 3) Random blood hormone levels were not elevated, and there were no symptoms of hormone excess; 4) Pituitary MRI or head CT revealed sellar space-occupying lesions; 5) clinical cases, laboratory tests, and examination data were complete; 6) Willing to participate in this study and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Acromegaly: 1) Patients with AG or pituitary cancer caused by ectopic tumors; 2) Patients with gigantism; 3) Past medical history showed other types of myocardial disease, heart valve disease, coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, arrhythmia and other heart diseases; 4) Previous medical history indicates other causes of diabetes, essential hypertension, adrenal gland,Gonadal, hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism and other related diseases; 5)Unable to cooperate with the study for any reason or considered unsuitable for inclusion in the trial by the investigator. Non-functional pituitary adenoma: 1) Patients with elevated serum hormone levels caused by pituitary tumors or patients with pituitary cancer; 2) Patients with symptoms of hormone excess; 3) Patients who have undergone surgery or radiotherapy; 4) Patients with other types of myocardial diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, heart valve disease, coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, arrhythmia and other heart diseases suggested by past medical history; 5) Patients who cannot cooperate with the study for any reason or are considered by the investigator to be inappropriate for inclusion in this trial.
