Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Using EMS records from a tertiary medical centre (The First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University) in Chongqing, Southwest China. Patients encountered by the EMS between 12 November 2021 and 12 January 2022 were in the pre-pandemic group and patients encountered by the EMS between 12 November 2022 and 12 January 2023 were in the pandemic group

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients transferred from EMS teams at other institutions to The First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University and inter-hospital transfers were excluded.
